Mandarin Shipping Limited (MSL) is a Hong Kong based shipping company with a specific focus on developing shipping solutions for infrastructure projects and industrial customers in Asia.

MSL looks to work in partnership with companies who have a specific shipping requirement which requires a tailored approach in both the technical and commercial aspects of the project, but where the end user does not wish to own and operate the marine transport element.

Backed by a group of investors with a long history of working in Asia, the company's main strength is in being able to offer a fully flexible approach
to shipping without being sector specific. The company was formed by Tim Huxley and William Fairclough who have lengthy experience of working in the region with shipping services group Clarkson Asia. In recent years, they set up Clarkson Logistics, the ship-owning investment arm of the Clarksons group.

Projects successfully undertaken included the acquisition of two large combination carriers to be used in a civil engineering project in Singapore and the provision of a tanker to transport jet fuel within Hong Kong waters. In both cases, the client required a complete out-sourcing of the marine transport element. Through a combination of an innovative approach to commercial issues, utilizing highly experienced technical partners and
a commitment to addressing the specific needs of the client, these projects were successfully concluded.

With a specific focus on the energy sector, MSL is aiming to become an established partner of major companies operating in Asia who need a tailored shipping solution to increase efficiency whilst offering investment partners alternative, niche investment opportunities. In addition to its shipping investment activities, MSL provides advisory and shipbroking services to other shipping companies in fields such as ship sale and purchase and pre-listing advice.
